Tahliah Debrett Barnett, aka FKA twigs, is a singer and dancer as thin as a twig.
“I am not restricted by any musical genre. I like to experiment with sounds, generating emotions while putting my voice on certain atmospheres. […] Younger, I only listened to punk, Siouxsie and the Banshees […] and then I found my own way of playing punk. I like industrial sounds and incorporating everyday life’s sounds like a car alarm.”
Born in Gloucestershire in 1988 but of Jamaican origin, she moved to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career as a dancer. Currently engaged to Robert Pattinson, with hers unusual beauty and style that goes back to the late 90′, she looks very different from all her colleagues and does not seem willing to stop.
